You can publish a workbook by going to the option BEx Broadcaster through the tools under the toolbar and create a new setting with output format as online link to current data. By doing this the URL will be sent in a mail to the required users.

Hi,

Thanks all for the reply!!

But, the following error is displayed when i selected 'online link' option while Broadcasting the workbook from Analyzer:

"Note

The termination occurred in system BI with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.

The selected virtual host was 0 .

What can I do?

Please select a valid URL.

If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

Hi,

could you tell us what is the port for the profile parameter icm/server_port_0, it should ideally be set to 8000. Also check out the URL after you try to publish that workbook to web, whats the port mentioned in it. If its any port other than 8000 (Eg . 8100), Change it to 8000 manually in the URL and hit enter. Checkout what you get.

Let us know.

regards,

Sree.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply!

I had changed the port to 8000 manually. System is displaying the followin menu options:

New Analysis, Open, Save As, Display As dropdown, Info, Send, Print version, Export to Microsoft Excel, Comments with Filter and Settings options.

But the data is not displayed in the output.

Hi Haripriya,

Please answer the following questions for me to help u out.

What is the default port that appears once you publish workbook on the web?

What version of BEx Analyzer are u using to publish workbook on the web?

Are you doing a Distribute workbook (BEx ToolBar -> Tools -> Distribute workbook) in Analyzer?

what port is mentioned in the profile parameter icm/server_port_0?

Let me know, and I would be in a better position to solve your problem.

Regards,

Sree.

Hi Haripriya,

Since you are using BEx Analyzer 7.0, its a must that you integrate your system with a portal. You can't publish workbook or broadcast it without the portal in Analyzer 7.0. Speak to your Basis Administrators, check out whether the portal exists in your landscape. If it does, and if you want to integrate your system with portal, then execute the transaction RSPOR_CUST01.

This is the place where the configuration of portal is done.

Let me know.

Sree.

I have posted the SAP notes and the link FYR.

And it is possible. Contact your BASIS folks to do broadcasting settings and publish the workbook in web.

And it can be done by publishing the workbook as URL template. Then you access it.

Hope this would help you.
