First please check whether it is a PAR or EAR file.
PAR files can be downloaded at System Administration-> Support
Navigate to Portal runtime-> Browse Deployment ->pcd . you can download from there.
once you download... unzip it twice and you will get the pr file with BAK extension. Remove the BAK extension and import that in NWDS.

Hi Raghu,
Thanks for your quick reply. I already searched through this path but i am unable to find the exact file for leave request.
Will you give me the exact file name for this which i have to download. Also, can i import EAR file in nwds? if yes then give me
details from where i can down load the EAR file.
Umesh,
Whats the version of ESS on your system?
ESS Components have been developed in Web Dynpro Java and you will have to install NWDI - NetWeaver Development Infrastructure in your landscape to have access to the source code of the ESS Leave Components.
Pl search SDN Threads of ESS Cookbook to understand how to set up NWDI for ES Customization. Also there are plenty of wiki's explaining the same. If you still face an issue do post.
Thanks,
GLM
You can check the version of ESS Components from the System Information page accessable from
http://<hostname>:<port>/monitoring/SystemInfo
Have a look at all the software components and look for the version information of components BP_ERP5ESS
If NWDI has been installed you should be able to access the following URL : http://<hostname>:<port>/devinf/main
Thanks,
GLM
Hello GLM
The version of my ESS is 1.0 SP11 (1000.1.0.11.0.20071026023809) and i am not able to access the url
http://<hostname>:<port>/devinf/main. It gives an error ' The requested resource does not exist.'
Then i have to install NWDi? If yes, then can you tell me how i can install it?
