Can I maintain a sequence of further participants in performance appraisal?

I would like to maintain a sequence for 3-4 "approvers" of an appraisal, after the final appraisal has been completed. I have created several ROLES but all under the umbrella of further participants. After the final appraisal column is completed, these approvers should proceed to approve the appraisal in a particular sequence, from 2nd line manager all the way up to CEO, in a reverse hierarchical order from bottom to top. However, using further participants means that the CEO can enter the appraisal straight after the completion of the final appraisal and click approve, before the approvers that should have preceeded him!

How can I control the sequence of the approvals of the further participants?

Note that I prefer not to use part appraisal concept as it means I have to use the part appraisal column and part appraisers tend to participate before the final appraisal takes place. I would like to maintain a series of simple approvers of the appraisal after the scoring has been completed

Thanks in advance

Andreas

Hello Andreas,

It is not possible to control the sequence of further participants in appraisal document. Actually further participants are not even mandatory in appraisal documents. In our standard design, further participants are only defined for roles who may have some interest in the document. In other words, whether they work on such documents are not required.

Honestly, part appraiser is the best and simplest way of fulfilling your business requirement...

For your situation, an option is to define individual statuses for ever higher level manager. When create the document, include all the necessary parts into the document as appraisers. After that use badi implementation of HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS and HRHAP00_BUT_ACCESS to control the accessability of different appraisers under different substatuses.

All in all, it is quite a complicated task...

Best regards.
