Hello!
I installed the new version of Eclipse (4.8 Photon) with ADT and in the process I loose all my templates, keyboard-shortcuts, fonts preferences (but NOT the colored syntax 🙂 and installed plugin (like the ABAP Favorites).
Meanwhile I managed to get almost everything as it was but: What's the standard way to avoid something like this?
Thanks!
Regards,
Vlad
Hi Vlad,
Use same Eclipse work space you used for older version. All the font settings and connections get stored in work space.
Plugins need to be reinstalled.

Hi Vlad,
you should use the upgrade via the ADT eclipse updatesite. Then all your settings are still there after upgrade.
When you install a fresh new eclipse you should at least reuse your workspace. BEcause most of the settings are stored in the workspace.

Thomas.
