JavaScript error when trying to run VC model

Hello Experts,

I am getting a strange error when trying to run VC iView .

The VC iView is not launched and a java script error is shown in the browser window.

stating Object Expected.

Kindly help in finding the cause points will be awarded.

Hi,

it sounds like the objEmbed.js that is used by this iView is not present in your installation.

did this happen after an upgrade of some sort? (What version are you on?)

my suggestion to you is to:

1) clear the browser and portal cache.

2) if that doesn't work - redeploy the VCFRAMEWORK.SCA that includes the formentioned JS file.

Hello ,

Thanks for your response.

The Portal version is SAP Netweaver 7.0 SP14.

We have not got an upgrade. The application did work on the environment and all of a sudden today it is giving the javascript error.

Do you think of any other reason for this issue.

Something is missed in the installation. Could you give the details of the javascript error that you are getting?

I Believe that still it could be that i'm right.

maybe you installed a patch? maybe someone changed something on server?

My suggestion to you is to re-install as mentioned VCFRAMEWORK for verson SP14 Patch 2.
