Sap Analytics Cloud how to set up browser (IE11 / Firefox) for live connection to S/4 or BW4?

Hi all,

We built live connections to BW4 and S/4. Also, we setup Chrome(cookies and popups) and the connections work fine.

While I switch to IE11 and Firefox and try to connect to BW4 or S/4 (I did the same set up for IE11 but I was not able to find the place for Firefox), It gives error message "Failed to connect to system".

Is there any solution I can use to allow IE11/Firefox to connect to backend systems by live connection?

Thanks,

Yufei

Hello Yufei - please see https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/public/en/2516259 - limited functionality is available for IE11. Also see https://www.sapanalytics.cloud/quick_answers/technical-support/

    Hello Yufei,

just to make sure you have the right information. Viewing a story with Live Data is for sure supported with IE.

    Hi Ingo,

    Thanks for your reply.

    For IE 11 setting:

    1. I unchecked the popup blocker and

    2. I added the trusted sites(with Enable Protected Mode checked).

I have [Application Error]: Script error. I am not able to browse to any stories. I tried multiple laptops in the organization. None of them works.

Could you please suggest how to make IE11 work?

    Thanks,

    Yufei
