I am Abap certified abd i want to be BO consultent how can i start and will my ABAP certification help me in future?

why you want to come into BO with ABAP ? you need to get into sap TECHNO functional where you can use ABap . BO doent need ABAP

Hi Dilip,

I would appreciate your interest to learn and become a BO Consultant....The best way you can get there is through SAP BI...As you are already a SAP ABAPer then BI shouldnt be a very tough thing for you to learn.....and SAP BO is end user view for SAP BI server....Your understanding is correct it stands outside the SAP BI interface...thats why its called SAP Business Objects Xi Business Intelligence

All you need is SAP BI to get working on SAP BOBJ...Let me know if you need further explanation...

Hi,

In rare cases it will help you. I.e when you want to create report from BW (SAP system) then it will help you in designing universes and creating reports from them ....

BO is BI tool. BO will be similar to that of BW i,e mappings, based on mappings generating report...

My suggestion is to stay in SAP itself as you are certified better to go for any other module i.e CRM, SRM or HR and to become a Techno-Functional consultant in SAP.
