ATP check - Customer Orders VS Production

Hi everyone,

I encounter issues trying to find viable solutions for the following logistics context :

A specific finished good is stored and visible in the ATP check (and then linkable to customer orders). This very same item can also be brought to production to be assembled to other products.

The need of production isn't prioritised over customer orders since production orders aren't taken into account in the ATP check.

Then, we are in the situation where all finished goods displayed in ATP are linked to customer orders by sales administration without allocating any of them to production.

Is anyone of you already encounter, and resolved, this tricky situation ?

The goal is obviously not to operate many "manual operations" but to try finding viable and "automatic" and systemic solutions (without creating two references - one for customer orders and another for production).

The ATP version we are actually working with is standard version, not from APO.

Thank you for the time,

Loïck

Hi and thanks for the answer,

These FG are called in production for being assembled to create Kits.

The mains goal is then to allocate FG for the two existing destinations : a) Being sold and shipped to customers b) Being called in production for kits assembly.

OVZ9 : a lot of different parameters but none is linked to product allocation in a discrepancy situation.

Thanks a lot for your help

At the first instance, I am not clear with your following statement

specific finished good is stored and visible in the ATP check
This very same item can also be brought to production

Why a FG material should be used in production again ? Not clear with this statement. Nevertheless, as for as ATP is concerned, system would consider based on Scope of Check we set in OVZ9 for the combination of 01/A or 02/A from SD side, which depends again on the respective material master data for availability check
