Is there any function/formula in WEBI to dynamically identify the current fiscal period?

I have a requirement where I need to split 19 periods into 3 groups of columns. The first column will always be the previous period. The second group will have 12 periods (from current period onwards) and a total column for those 12 periods. The third group will have set of 6 periods and a total column at the end only for those 6 periods. I used the flag at the backend to achieve this but because of the nature of the business, it's not working.

I could not find any standard function to use to dynamically identify the current period or group them to meet the requirement.

Please let me know if anyone has delivered similar type of requirement.

    Hi Pavan,

Thanks you for your interest on this.

I have done the example in excel (see below).

There are 19 periods starting from previous Pd to 18 Pds (By the way, the current Pd is 07.2019). I need to add a total column at the end of 12 Pds (12 Pds = current Pd + 11) and also require a total column at the end of further 6 future Pds. How do I meet this requirement without Grouping (Assuming that the Grouping is not dynamic as far as I know) or even using the flag at the backend?

Please let me know if you require more information.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Pavan,

    Thanks for your reply.

The periods (i.e. 07.2019 in this format) directly come from db.

    Thanks,

    Bhai
