Change in OADB from status 3 to 2, How does affect in already created and posted assets?

Dear All,

We have a Business requirement for Depreciation Area 21 (Used for Tax dep.) to change the configuration for posting transaction to General Ledger from 3 (Area posts dep only) to 2 ( Area posts APC and depreciation periodically) using tcode - OADB.

For this change I have two questions which I need to check with SAP experts,

1. Right now for this change I can see two necessary steps one is using OADB change the status from 3 to 2 and other one is to assign GL accounts for Area 21 for APC posting accounts. Please let me know if any other configuration step I am missing here that need to be set up for this change.

2. What would be an impact of this change on already created and posted assets. Because there are more than 400 assets which has APC values in current year as well as previous years? How to deal with these amounts while changing this status?
