hi sree,

Period is fiscal period.

i want to display the std price and moving price values by period wise like YTD.

and the CKFs(VARIANCE, VARIANCE %) to be display at the end of the periods.

Hi Venu,

as far as I see, there is only one way to do this,

drag keyfigures std price and moving price values to the columns area in Query designer (7.0). Now restrict them for the period 01. Now drag them again and restrict them for Period 02, subsequently cover all the periods.

Now, Drag the CKF's.

Arrange the corresponding characteristics that you need in the Rows section and save the query.

Let me know.

hi anil,

i tried, but i didn't get the solution.

the requirement is that, we need to display std price, mov price for each and every period.

at the end i need to calculate the variance and variance % for the current period and previous period.

Hi Venu,

there is another way as well, however, you won't be able to see Variance and Variance% as a saperate keyfigure which is not under the period. Thats the reason I didn't mention it earlier.

What you can do is, Drag the period to the columns, Now create a structure that has the two keyfigures std price, moving price. Here if you add Variance and Variance%, Then these CKF's would come under period as well, which you don't need. And the system won't allow you to add these CKF's outside this structure. The reason being because the interpretation of the data then wouldn't make any sense here. You can create a new structure as well with these CKF's but they would become a subpart of your previous structure.

choose the required characteristics in the Rows section. Save it.

Let us know, Sorry man, can't help u much at this problem.

i have created 2 structures. i dragged the period(0FISCPER) into columns.1 for charecteristics(ROW Structure) and 2nd one for keyfigures(std price, moving price)(COLUMN structure) to display period by period.

but how to display the calculated keyfigures(variance, variance%) at the end of the report.

Venu,

This is what I had mention in my previous post, you won't be able to display these two CKF's, The system just won't allow you to do that, reason being because this won't really make any sense pertaining to the interpretation of the data. You will have to find a workaround for this.

Sree.
