Crystal Reports Cascading Dynamic LOV not appearing

I created a report in CR 2016 on a test server that uses cascading dynamic prompts. I created the cascading, dynamic prompts w/in the report and not the BVM.

The cascading dynamic prompt works fine when the report is run on the test server.

I then promoted the report to the prod server, and checked all of it's dependencies, using BO CMC Promotion Management.

I also went into the BVM and set the user id and password for the DC, and granted data access rights. I also scheduled the LOV to run now and edited the LOV to make sure it ran.

The Everyone Group is set to view access at the Cascading Dynamic Prompts folder level.

When I run the report on the prod server, the cascading dynamic LOV is empty.

What am I missing? What else do I need to check or set?

Thanks!

When you promoted the report, did you include the "repository objects" that would ensure that the prompt was migrated?

To test the LOV after migration, try this:

- Right-click on the LOV and schedule it to "Run Now".

- Wait a couple of minutes and then check the properties of the LOV - in the bottom right it will tell you whether the schedule ran or failed and, I believe, if it failed it will give you the error message.

Make sure that you have "View" access to the CrystalReportsXXXXReportApplicationServer in the CMC before running the LOV - this is where LOV's run.

The most common reason for the emty LOV in your case is a Migration.

My suggestion is to remigrate a single report with all dependencies and most important with all securities.

Another option: In Business View Manager, right-click the Data Connection associated with the LOV > edit rights and make sure Data Access is granted for all Users.
