Sub Contracting BOM

We have defined BOM for sub contracting item.

BOM - AAA (MFG)

ITEM:1 PURCHASED

ITEM :2 SUB CONTRACT ITEM( BOM )

SUB CONTRACT BOM:

ITEM : 3 PURCHASED

When MRP run for BOM - AAA , PR raised for sub contracting item , system should also generate PR for item no 3 defined in sub contracting BOM.

But no PR generated . Is there any set up in procurement ? or master data?

    Dear Ashok,

1.First check what's the validity date of the BOM for the sub-contracted material.

2.Ensure the BOM usage is 1 for the BOM created.

3.Ensure the production relevancy is set for that item no 3.

4.Ensure a valid purchase info record(sub-contracting) exists for the sub-contracted material and valid source of supply exists.

5.Ensure a valid purchase info record exists for the item no - 3(standard purchase info record) and valid source of supply

exists.Purchase info record can be checked in ME13 and source of supply in ME01.Ensure the MRP relevancy is set for the

    material,vendor combination in ME01.

6.Ensure the item has not a MRP type ND.

    Check and revert back.
