Dear,
"Cost Estimate with Quantity Structure" is a function for planning costs and setting prices for materials using the data from Production Planning i.e., BOM and routing (production by lot size); BOM and rate routing (repetitive manufacturing); Master recipe (process manufacturing).
"Cost Estimate without Quantity Structure" is a function for planning costs and setting prices for materials without using the data from Production Planning and Control. You enter the items to be costed (such as materials and activities) into a unit cost estimate manually in Excel sheet like manner.
"Preliminary Costing" is used for Cost planning for Cost Obects i.e., Product Cost Collectors in Product Cost by period method. While creating the Product Cost Collector Master, system will ask whether Preliminary Costing is required or not.
"Simultaneous Costing" -recording of the actual cost posted to the Cost Objectsi.e., Product Cost Collector in Goods issued and activities confirmed to Product Cost Collectors through Production/Process Orders.
