Backup you can schedule from BRTOOLS or Directly from SAP system ( DB13).

If you want to take regular backup on disk you can change few parameters in your initSID.sap file.

you can get your initSID.sap file in Oracle_Home/database directory. In that file you have to change,

backup_device_type and backup_stage directory..

Check the link below for initSID.sap file configuration

Then schedule backup frm DB13 or you can directly run backup by running command from OS level.

Now if you want to schedule from OS level, create a batch ( with .bat extension) file which will hold the command and then you can use Windows "Scheduled Task" ...( check in control panel section).

Deletion of old backup can also be handled by Windows Scheduled task or script. ( hint you can use DOS command "XCOPY" and "DELETE")

in my last post I was talking about a link, but unfortunately forgot to paste that link..sorry for that..please find the link below.

if you do not need a offline backup you can change it to online backup...[again from your initSID.sap file, backup_type]

in this file you will find lots of parameters and meaning of most of them you can make out from the file itself.

For more information about these parameter you can look at the link below

Please check the settings of the file init<DBSID>.sap holds configuration parameters for administration tools BR*Tools.

It is usually stored in directory $ORACLE_HOME/dbs (UNIX) or %ORACLE_HOME%\database(Windows).

Please set the setting in the file and you shall able to start the backup.

Thanks
