BW 7.4 PSA not allowing to change the records to null from zeroes

Dear Experts,

I have a requirement where in I need to differentiate between 'zeroes' and 'null values' in BW. Since BW doesn't support null values, I have written a field routine at the acquisition layer transformation. Unfortunately, there is are no null values coming from the source system in development environment .However, I am trying to edit the PSA and change the zero record value to non zero and null. The PSA is not allowing me to nullify any record manually.

Could you please let me know if its possible to nullify the records manually in PSA.

Also, any idea on an alternative to differentiate the null n zeroes in BW would also help. Please let me know if any further details are required to understand the issue.

As you said, Null value are not supported by SAP. You won't be able to set any Null value to any field with any SAP transaction.

If you want to identify this kind of value, you will have to do it on the System Source side.

what is the purpose of the requirement? filtering option in the query? if yes, you can add an attribute (flag initial or so) and in your transformation fill with X when initial and leave empty when 0...

Mean its not allowing you to edit? in such case, please delete the related request from from cube/dso and later try to do changes at psa, it will allow you.
