Shelf life characteristic in APO GATP

I am using APO 7.0 GATP.

Is it possible for the product availability check to consider the 'shelf life' characteristic for batch managed products (for example to only consider batches where remaining shelf life is greater than a particular threshold).

Dear Group APO,

if would like to implement something like a shelf-life handling during the ATP check then please check the note # 751392. It gives very good hints how you can get this to work.
