Views V_024 and V023: Client 002 has status not modifiable'

Hello Experts,

1)In the dev system for the view V_024 i am able to change the entries and insert new entries,Where as in test system it shows an information message as "Client 002 has status 'not modifiable'"and doesnt allows me to change or create entries.Where as i could do this in test system for the view v023.

2)For the view v_024 on inserting the new entries or changing the existing ones its asking for a Transport request, Where as when i do it for the view v_23 it saves without prompting for a Transport request.

Could you please explain me why the two views are behaving differently.

I have tried to search in SDN using the above keywords but couldnt found the relevant answer.

Please help.waiting for your replies.

Regards

Akmal

    Hi,

Check client settings in SCC4 for "Client 002 has status 'not modifiable'". what are the settings?

      Hi Akmal,

      Hope this will help...

      Client Configuration

      SCC4

      1. From the Table view menu, select Display -> Change

      2. When warned that the table is cross-client, press the checkmark button.

      3. Double click on one of the non-system clients (i.e. not client 000, 001 or 066)

      4. Define client as follows:

      Client role: Test

Changes and transports for client-specific object: Changes without automatic recording

Client-independent object changes: Changes to repository and cross-client customizing allowed

Protection: Client copier and comparison tool: Protection level 0

Restrictions when starting CATT and eCATT: eCATT and CATT allowed

      5. Press <CTRL>+S to save.

      6. Repeat steps 4 through 6 for any additional clients

      Regards

      Prashant
