Hi,
There are 2 different assembly lines which i have mentioned as 2 Functional Locations. In 2 assembly lines, some of the machines are common i.e., same kind of equipment & all the attributes are same. But the equipments wont get shared between the assembly lines.
I need solution whether I can use same equipment no. or can I make it to different 2 equipments. In case of single equipment no., can I use serial no.
I want to assign the equipments to functional locations. By considering all this, give me solution.
Regards,
Maheswaran.
Hi,
Based on your requirements, It is suggested that, you need to maintain 2 different equipments (Unique equipment for maintenance). Even though common machine but Tracking and Maintaining of each equipment is different.

Ok thank you for your valuable inputs. I have created all the equipments separately with different code.

Maheswaran,
It is adivsable to use different Equipment number for each peice of Equipment.
You need to Install and dismandle the Equipment whenver you are moving the Equipment from one line to another, then only you could get Equipment History. Like which date / time and who moved the Equipment from one line to another.
Babu
Maheswaran,
Are you Equipments physically different in each Functional location (Assembly line )? or you moving same piece of Equipment to each Functional location whenever it is required?
