Delegated Content Administration role

Dear SDN,

We have many people developing in Portal. We need to create a Delegated Content Administration Role in Portal.

This delegated Content Admininstration Role should contain only Portal content Iview. I have created one such portal role. But when I assign this portal

delegated content admin role to the users it throws Portal Runtime Error. I have Super Administration Role in portal. When the same role is assigned to my ID in Portal, this newly created delegated role works fine.

Hence it is clearly an authorization Issue.

Can anyone please suggest me what authorizations has to be provided to the users so that they can also work with this Delegated Content Administration Role?

I do not want to provide them complete Administrators rights.

Regards,

Shreya

Yes it is definetly a permission issue.

Because Super admin role will have all the owner permissions in pcd object., you should have that.... otherwise you need to give your user id the same permissions in pcdcobject as super admin role. make sure end user check box is checked during assigning the permissions.

Hi Raghavendra,

Thanks for the reply...

I have given Full Control to my user in permissions for this role. I guess there is some backend authorization which is missing for the users.

Can you please suggest me what backend authorizations shall I provide to users? I cannot provide them with Administrators rights since we will be restricting permissions for certain folders also in PCD.
