Storage location restriciton

Dear All,

Can u explain how to restrict the storage location for particular material code.

our stores gays are entering different storage location for particular material codes.

Hi All,

There is a configuration 'Automatically create Storage Location' under Inventory Management in Goods Receipt. If this is enabled, the material is automatically extended to the storage location on GR. If you disable this, the material will have to be extended using MM01 or MMSC before GR can be done. This will prevent the material from being received in any storage location.

Still i need deeply how to disable the storage location in GR stage. for particular materials.

Hi,

Through the setting under IMG ---> Material Management ---> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory ---> Authorization Management ---> Authorization Check for Storage Location, you can control the posting into a particular storage location via security.

Avoid other storage locations authorisation to the stores person with the help of BASIS people.

Hi

Extend the storage location you require for the material code and rest mark it for deletion by using MM06 if you really not going to use.
