LSO - Offline Course Distribution (OCD)

Hi,

We are on the lastest version of LSO 6.04 with Ehp4. I am trying to create a course which can be copied onto CD-ROM and circulated to the participants where the network bandwidth is low. Once the participant goes thru the course content they should be able to able to go online and synchronize their learning progress.

To do so, I first created an <Coursename>.ocd file using the transaction LSO_LOCAL_CONTENT. I saved the ocd file on my desktop. Next, from the Authoring Environment tool, using the Repository explorer, I clicked on the icon ' Create Locally available course for the offline player'. I pointed the OCD file (on my desktop)to the and the wizard finally created an <coursename>.LNP file.

I have configured the SAP Offline player under Tools > Configuration - "Always try to find local source" to my local desktop folder where the contents are created. The Offline Player is unable to pick up the *.LNP files.

If I try to download the same course from the Learner Portal, the *.LNP file stored in the local folder gets transferred to D:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\res\store folder and the Offline Player is able to play the contents.

Is this correct way to do it ? Could someone please share your experience in this area

Thanks,

Murali.
