    Hello,

PARTS INTERCHANGEBILITY is used in Logistics for Replacing the parts

We will identify the INTERCHANGEBLE PARTS based on Manufactrer Part number and the External manufactre

These Parts are created with material type HERS, These are more specific to Production Planning and Plant Maintenance.

MATERIAL DETERMINATION is automatic substitution of material while processing the sales order.

    This automatic substittion includs,

customer-specific product numbers with your own material numbers

International Article Numbers (EANs) with your own material numbers

Substituting discontinued materials with newer materials

      Hi Santosh,

      Thanks for your response

I am looking for a little more information.

Material Determination is done using condition technique, but I would like to know how Parts Interchangibility functions in the system and how different is that from material determination.

Also do you have any material on this.

      Awaiting your response

      With regards

      Mohan
