Hi Bryce,

Can you give me more details on this?

Is this stuff going to be implemented in webtools?

Is this product a departure from webtools?

Will it be supported?

If we don't use it, will we get the same functionality in webtools, eventually?

Stuff like that. It sounds cool, but if we use it, are we hurting ourselves down the road?

Thanks,

Jim

Is this stuff going to be implemented in webtools?

> The features and change in functionality we are implementing in zed Ecommerce will not be implemented into Web tools. Although we are creating, testing, releasing and supporting the patches for web tools post patch 4, SAP has very specific rules as to what may be included in a patch, therefore only bug fixes for very high messages that are issues with the core functionality of the product will be fixed. This is a continuance of the previous patch delivery process. SAP was very keen on eliminating the possibility of a regression bug, and to that end would only make updates in a patch that directly addressed a customer issue. zedIT will be doing that and more in an effort to bring the product up to speed, but can only do so in zed Ecommerce.

Is this product a departure from webtools?

> It is really the next incarnation of web tools. zedIT Solutions worked with SAP to obtain an OEM agreement that gave us license to the source code of which we are now using as a basis for zed E-Commerce and zed WebCRM. In its current incarnation, it shares over 90% of the same source code as Web tools.

Will it be supported?

> Definitely. zed Ecommerce and Web tools now have the same support team in place with a services team and partner enablement.

If we don't use it, will we get the same functionality in webtools, eventually?

> Not likely. SAP Business One E-Commerce and WebCRM Service Pack 2 is targeted for general availability Q1 or Q2 of 2010, and will include compatibility with Business One 8.8, but no other major functionality changes or additions.

Stuff like that. It sounds cool, but if we use it, are we hurting ourselves down the road?

> I don't see how. SAP customers who upgrade to zed Ecommerce will continue to benefit from great support and service and will have access to a world-class ecommerce platform that synchronizes with SAP Business One. zedIT is currently offering this as a free upgrade for all SAP Web tools customers. Interested partners should contact tom.costa at zedit.com for more information on obtaining the latest version.

In addition, we are set to release zed Ecommerce 7.0.2 in the middle of October. It will include a complete shipping overhaul adding 'shipping zones' functionality, as well as real time rate quotes from FedEx. This and other updates to the service call area, updates to the synchronization of non-credit card payments to B1, and a revamp on how remarks synchronize from B1 to zed Ecommerce.

I'd say get on board now, not just because I work there, but because I truly believe we are going to take this product farther than it's ever been. We have the people and knowledge in all the right places now and the reason SAP made this arrangement with zedIT Solutions is because they believe the same.

Hi Bryce,

As an existing webtools customer can I just download and install zed E-Commerce v7.0.2?. If so, from where?.

Who do I need to pay my maintenance to when my existing maintenance expires?, will it be direct to zedIT?, and if so does that mean I will have a direct relationship with zedIT with no middleman?.

Thanks.

Martin.

Hi Martin

You will need to work with an SAP partner who will then become a partner of zedIT. After that we will grant the partner access to download and provide support to their customers through them, and there is a separate license.

You can continue paying maintenance to SAP for the zed E-Commerce product. We can discuss this further when you come on board.

Thanks,
