Blank value for Charecterstic - CL20N

Hi MM Gurus,

We are using Account Assignment Category as one of the Charecterstcs for the release strategy. We need to have seperate release strategy for project requisitions.

We are using P, K, A, F & Blank. The problem is I am not able to enter the blank value for this characterstics in CL20N. Due to this system does not trigger the release strategy for inventory purchase requsitions (with blank account assignment).

Our groups as K, A, F & Blank in one strategy. P in another strategy.

Any idea how to handle this situation?

While creating characteristic through CT04 in the value tab don't write anything in the Character Value and in the description write BLANK.

Then while processing CL20N assign that blank character value with your release strategy and then check.

dont enter a blank, add the characteristic and leave its values empty.

Hi,

I am wondering why you what to keep the field as blank.

It will not work properly even if you manage to maintain the characteristics.

Try to settle with some characteristics data instead that is a good way to do.
