I believe there may be a bug in Crystal's Crosstabs...pls confirm

I have the feeling that there may be an issue with color selection in crosstabs.

I hope I am wrong but here is what I'm experiencing.

Let's say I have The following crosstab:

One column for Jan 08 and one row for Employee X.

I have 2 summarized fields namely Sum of Sales and Sum of Commission.

Let's assume the sum of Sales in Jan 08 was negative.

Here's what I want to do:

I want to display the Sum of Commission in Red when Sum of Sales is below Zero.

I tried this but it didn't work:

if sum({Sales}, {Employee Name}) < 0 then
crRed else
DefaultAttribute

However, if I changed the code above to >0 then the sum of Commission turns Red. But the strange thing is that sum of Sales is not greater than 0, its negative.

I even tried this but it didn't work:

if GridRowColumnValue("Period")='Jan08" and
sum({Sales}, {Employee Name}) < 0 then
crRed else
DefaultAttribute

If I do this, it works but obviously this does not dynamically change the color, just a manual manipulation.

if GridRowColumnValue("Period")='Jan08" then
crRed else
DefaultAttribute

My question is this, why does Crystal think that the sum of Sales is positive when it's not? Is this a bug in the program?

Please advise,

Regards,

Zack H.
