Rounding the quantity to full case in TO from PP order

Hi,

I create a PP order and one component has only 1 PC in BOM.

But when i create the TO i need the component to be picked in full case , e.g pallet.

How do i fix the component quantity to be rounded to the full case in TO?

Then use the quantity-dependent picking strategy and set the rounding quantity in the warehouse mgmgt 2 view.

Hello,

You should not change the BOM quantity because of the costing.

But if you create a TO means you have WM. So you can adapt in the material master Warehouse mgmnt1 view the WM unit and the unit of issue.

I did that, but if the pallet containes 12 pieces, in the TO, for 1 piece in the PP order, the system consederes 0,083 pallet.

I would need it to take the whole pallet, not to divide the quantity in pieces into pallets.

I need the TO to consider the 12 pieces in teh pallet.

Dear Mariana,

Unable to understand ur exact Query

but if u want to fix BOM quantity

then go CS02, then select component line

then click on item button

here u can make a tick for fixed quantity (just beside of quantity)

Hi Kumar,

Let me explain in more details:

- the component is stored in pallets with 12 pieces, and the pallet is an alternative Uom

- when i create the PP order, in the BOM, this component is set up with 1 piece, so in the PP order it has only 1 piece

- after i create the PP order, the TO for the components is automaticaly created and printed in the warehouse. The picked quantity is equal to the quantity in the TO, in this case 1 piece.

- the point is that it is needed that the quantity of the component in the TO should be rounded to the quantity in the pallet, 12 in this case, so that, the picking to be done by pallet not by piece.

I need to know, how can i set up the quatity of the componnent to be rounded to the quantity in the pallet.

problem is what ever quantity you have in BOM will reflect in production order and what ever reservation you have for production oder, your TO will be create for the same quantity.

tell me isnt it the wrong process if you are transfering 12 pc ( a full pallet ) for the requirement of 1 PC....?

how you will do the consumption and how you will handle the additinal 11 PC from that pallet.....?

Hi,

The consumption is not a problem. The difference in quantity will be transfered after in another bin.

The point is that if i create a TO without reference to the PP order, i can make the rounding, as i make the settings in the material master. I make teh TO with 1 piece, and it consideres 1 pallet.

So it should be possible also with reference to the PP order.
