Mixed storage with Quality

Dear All,

I want to restrict a bin to allow different materials, but i want the same material with different stock category to be allowed in the same bin. In the storage type setting if i enter the mixed storage the system allows different materials in the same bin and if i leave it blank it does not allow same material unrestricted and quality inspection in same bin.

How can i restrict only to one material per bin, either if the material is unrestricted or blocked?

thank you

Regards

Hi,

In the storage type configuration, try to make use of the field " Addn to stock " to allow different stock categories of the same material rather than mixed storage option.

I hope it will work, also please refer the following url of SAP help.com for more details about the different stock categories of the same material allowed in a storage bin.

Hi,

I have used this field and entered X in order to allow addition to existing stock. I do not know how to set it to allow only one material per bin but to allow different stock category of same material.

Hi,

In the configuration of storage type, Please make

Mixed storage = " " Mixed storage not allowed

Addn to stock = "X" Addition to existing stock permitted.

and try your scenario to test the functionality.

Thanks and Regards,

This configuration allow same material in same bin but not same material unrestricted and Quality inspection in one bin. it displays the error that mixed storage is not allowed.

Hi Aldais,

I used to work on a warehouse which has the same requirement for putaway. We've realized this via user-exit putaway strategy for the storage type concerned.

Dear YorkD, can you please specify your answer? You created a new strategy. Which user exit you used.

Thanx and regards

Hi Aldais,

To use user-defined strategies, you need to set User exit active field (T331_USEIN) in the Putaway Control section of the appropriate storage type. You can check detail via IMG -> LE -> WM -> Strategies -> Putaway Strategies -> Developing function extensions. The user exit is MWMTO003.
