Role Upload from R/3 to Portal

Hi All,

I have uploaded an R/3 role to portal. The R/3 role contains two transactions,,so after uploading the role i could find the role as well as the transactions present in it in PCD under migrated content. But after assigning the role to a portal user i am getting a portal runtime error whenever i am trying to acess the transactions. I have checked with the usermapping it was fine. Even the SAP transaction iviews which i have created from portal using transaction iview template were working fine, but the transaction in the R/3 role is throwing an error. Can you please suggest where i have gone wrong.

Regards,

Tilak.

    Hi,

You should check the logs to see why the exception is thrown. And you should check the permissions on the Migrated Content folder.

      Hi Pierre,

      Thanks for ur reply,

I have checked the permissions for the migrated content folder, they are fine. I have assigned end user permission for the R/3 role but also i am getting the same error.

      Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Tilak,

I think you query is not be not answered.

When you upload the role (click on start upload )you need to wait until the status is Finished. The role that you have uploaded can be seen in portal content - content Administration-> portal content-> migrated content-> roles-> u201Csystem nameu201D .

If you are not able to see mean your role is not uploaded correctly.

And my suggestion is first check the service com.sap.portal.pcd.rolemigration"

    Hope this resolves your problem.

    Cheers!!
