account assignment view in standard PO

Hi,

For POs without account assignment; in item details tab of PO are we able to see account assignment view tab in ME21N. So that we can see the G/L account to which postings are made while making PO

hi,

under std functinality, the G/L account will be determined from OBYC but not w.r.t. to the account assigned tab..

If you have to see the G/L account pls confirm it from the OBYC tcode and check the rules for the postings for clear understandings...

No there will not be...so that's why if you need to check the G/L account and its settings then check at OBYC...

Hi Alexandro ,

In earlier versions ( 4.6, 4.7.. ) it is not the case but in ECC 6.0 i think it is visible in Standard as i too can find it in my system.

Check the below config but it can't be changed.

Spro-MMPurchasingAccount Assignment--Define External Representation of Item Categories

Click on the first Item Category and check Add.Acc Assignment.

For further details better to raise the issue to OSS.

I think you are creating PO with reference to purchase requisition in pur.req you may have put account assignment pls check whether you have put a/c assignment in purchase requisition, the same will be reflect in PO.

If you are creating a Accounting Assignment PO, then You need to Choose Account Assignment from the Drop in the Account assignment Tab at Item Level..

The Account will be derived from the OBYC trxn against WRX for which the GL Account & Valuation Class Combination.

If PO is Not a Accounting Assignment PO, Then It will Hit the Stock Account BSX..

for which GL Account & Valuation class is maintained in OBYC Trxn..

You will not get any Account Assignment Tab for this in PO

Hi

For PO with out account assignement, there will not be account assignment tab in PO item Details.

It means, you are procurring it for stock. exactly you will not know who is going to consume it.

You can see the postings made at the time GR and IV. Normally it will post into GR/IR at the time of GR

Check it out.
