Work item not created for custom workflow after event linkage

Hi all,

In the Purchase Order release procedure, for a custom work flow, I did event linkage in SWETYPV with business object.

My custom work flow is not creating any work item. (Workflow not started). What step I should use in the custom workflow to start my workflow .

Thanks in advance.

Hi SHrama,

Check in SWETYPV if the 'Activate Event Linkage' checkbox is checked.

Also check for any start conditions that are maintained in the workflow. Check if the start conditions are getting satisfied, then only the workflow would get triggered.

You should check the transaction SWEL and check whether any event entries are triigered.

Thanks

1. Make sure that you made the workflow template as General Task

2. Makse sure the entry in SWETYPV , *Activate Event Linkage * is enabled or not

And more over you said that you are trying to trigger a custom workflow , How are you trying to raise a event .I mean if you are trying to raise the event programtically then after calling the FM to riase the event you have to use the COMMIT WORK statement

Hello,

If you saw the event in SWEL then all you have to do is link that event to the workflow via the "Triggering events" tab in PFTC.

Be sure to do the bindings properly.
