residence time for CO_ITEM archiving object

Hi, (this is my first post !)

I am customizing archiving for CO_ITEM object and, especially the residence time using ARCU_COIT1 transaction.

I would like to specify a residence time for all co_item but the system does not accept '*' in the object type and sub Object type columns.

How can I do ?

So I understand I have to create one line per relevant object.

Yes, I had read int he SAP documentation that CO objects were archived with related business objects.

As we are facing problems with available space on disk and CO items come in second position in the largest tables analysis. So I want to make sure that these items will be archived after one year even if business people want to keep their SD or MM documents longer in the Database.

Welcome to SCN!

As per my understanding, you need to customize residence time per object type, sub object type is not mandatory.

By the way, can I ask you why you want to archive all the object types? Normally when you archive the objects which contain CO line items, it automatically archives all the Co line items which belong to that object. So usually the need to archive all line items thru CO_ITEM doesnt arise. You could find out the objects related to the line items by running reports RARCCOA1 or RARCCOA2. Please refer to SAP note 138688 for information on the reports.
