Electronic bank statement

Hi All,

Our customer is using EBS Multi cash format, We have configuration for BTC codes with 2 numbers 399 and 699 and now they want the GL account has to be changed to STF(standing order exp acoount) which falls in 699.

How to make confriguration for this External trasaction type. As bank uses only 2 codes as 399 and 699.

Is complete configuration has to be changed by configuring Extnl transaction types and STF, TFR,etc etc or is it possible to use search string or any possible way were the EBS can pick the GL account from the posting rule applied for STF by overriting the existing configuration for single External transaction.

When It should post to new GL Code ? If it is always, what is preventing you to change the GL Code in Account mapping ? If it is not always, wat is the prerequisite ?

Hi Madhu,

The question is related to only one expenses (standing order ) were as the customization is done only for two extnl transactions for the EBS user wants to change GL account for STF (part of 699) External trnsaction code.

I think this can be done using search string , but not sure about the procedure.

Could you let me know if any other solution is avaible to resolve the issue.

I understood the case . Search string can work in your case, but you must have some unique text or number on bank statement for the system to search. You need to define one search string which should match to the one on bank statement. This need to be assigned to Bank Account. And in Account mapping, you can use this as Account modifier and specify new GL Code. But best thing would be to negotiate with Bank for new BTC Code.

Hi Madhu,

Could you please share the procedure breifly as the text can be used as search string STF.

The mapping in search string to be taken and the feild for mapping prefix, interpretation and target. As i have tried using but still it is not maaped to correct defined GL accounts. May be i am missing any of the steps in customizing.
