Common tranport directory on Windows local installation

We had Installed our ECC dev,qa and prod on Windows system as local installation. But the systems are part of DNS domain .

Since I have installed local installation method <sid>adm,SAPService<SID> are part of local installation. I have configured DIR_TRANS profile as
<devesystem>\sapmnt\trans in all the systems and common transport group. But when i relase the request from development , then i can not see import queue QA system.

When i went to QA , STMS> Systems> test directory it shows file can not create. That means QA systems could not authenticate
<devsystem>\sapmnt\trans directory. Is there any addtional privilages i have to give to this directory for to access from QA and Prod?

How to add common transport directory in this case?

- Thanks

If you have to work in local installation ( which is not recomended for reasons like the problem you have encounters ) than you can do the following.

Create on the dev server accounts named SAPService<SID> with the prd and qa sid and password ( same password as on the qa and prd servers!!). Give those accounts on the dev server permissions to the sapmnt share and trans directory ( both share permissions and ntfs permissions).

That should be enough to solve the problem.

Igal,

I absolutely with you, local installation has many issues. But this installation was done by some level2 BASIS guys and they did not have much experiance.

Ok any way past is past, now we are here to help the problem.

If i create SAPService<SID> <SID> --> QAS, PRD in development as local users and added into local admin groups . and added into full control permission to
devsystem\sapmnt but still the problem is same.

SAPSerive<SID> to be create in domain / local system?

- Thanks

As far as I know what you have done should work.

try one of this [procudures|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258938].

Also, You can move the installation to network users. Its not that hard. Just make sure you enter the network user to the same local groups as the current users. And delete the admuser key from the registry in hklm/software/sap/sid/ that remove the dependency on the admuser profile.
