[Ask] Connect to AS Java using SAP GUI

Former Member

Dear gurus,

I'm generally logon using SAP GUI to AS ABAP.

It's pretty simple, like entering SID and System Number, and voila, I can logged on onto SAP System.

Now, I've installed pure AS JAVA, BI JAVA, EP, EP Core (no AS ABAP).

I've also downloaded SAP GUI for Java 7.10 rev 9.

Problem is, I can't figure out what url to fill in the Connection (I choose web dynpro connection type).

Can gurus gimme some englightments?

Thanks for your help.

Best Regards,

Ehm.... as you (should) know you're not 'entitled' to an answer in the forums.

Actually I'm not sure about how to connect to the systems listed except for EP. The enterprise portal is a web application so no Sapgui there, just your browser.

Maybe the sdn page about [SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java|] can shed some light on things. I saw quite some links to faq's and manuals there.
