System Down Time for BI 7.0 SP-19 Upgrade

Hi all,

We are planning to upgrade our environment BI 7.0 SP-12 to BI 7.0 SP-19.

For the SAP shops that had done the BI 7.0 SP-19 upgrade, how long was the system down time for Basis to apply the SP-19?

I appreciate if you could provide me the down time or if you don't mind sharing your upgrade time line.

The down time is 20 hours in which no new errors occur. So always suggested that have it on Sandbox and get all the error resolved there and then try to do on your production land scape.

It would be more real if you system opy your production on sandbox and do on that so thet you hae a clear picture what all error you shall face while you do in Production System. In this way you shall get the exact image who much time you shall take in production by reducing the hours the you have spent in trouble shooting.

      Hi Rishi,

Thanks for your reply. Do you have the answers for the following questions:

1/ Is there a required down time or quiet time in R/3 system while you are doing the SP 19 upgrade to BW?

2/ Do we have to flush out BW delta queues while the SP19 being applied?

3/ Do you have your SP-19 upgrade plan/time line that you can share with me?

I will give you points when I hear back from you.
