Hello all,
In the MCEQ queue namely MCEX03, can we delete particular postings? For example postings done in this queue before particular date? We want to delete this particular data from this queue and then load into BW.
Could you please help me with the process to be followed?
Regards
Anuj
Goto t-code LBWQ and display MCEX03. Then display the queue which will show the transactions recorded with the date and time. You can select and delete them.

I guess its not recommended to do so unless its creating any issues in running the extractor. But since its for the entire 03 content, so the other datasources under this will also miss the data that you are trying to delete. But if you will be loading data for this period separately then its ok. Don't think you would get any technical error on doing this. you can run the v3 job after you delete to make sure everything is fine. As for the relationship in terms of data in LUW's, i guess there could be a problem if there was a reversal done after sometime and if it does not fall within the timestamp that you are trying to delete, in such a case BI would have incomplete or missing data. But if you would be catering to the data for the deleted period then i guess it should be fine.
Yes we are facing while running the job. It seems like the structure behind the MCEX03-queue was changed while there were still data in the queue, which caused the hourly job to abend with a dump. The structure change was due to a change to a field in a table. This field was used in a structure included in the structure used by the MCEX03 queue, causing a new version of the structure to be activated.
So now i am trying to delete LUWs before some period..and trying to rerun the job.
Do you have any better idea to sort out this issue?
Ohh Ok......actually we have faced this many times now. Since our queue had lots of data so there was really no possibility to go and delete selectively based on timestamp. Hence we directly deleted the MCEX** queue from LBWQ and then did the setup for data for the period that we missed. If you have a DSO in place before loading to the cube, then there would be no trouble for duplicates.
