Merge in a productive BCS system


Hi everybody,

We have a BCS system working currently with a hierarchy like this : P Parent, A (100%)and B (100%) investee consolidation units. A and B also have investee units ( a1, a2, b1, b2 percentage 100% for everyone). Consolidation method for all : Purchase Method.

After 3 months, the Consolidation group A will be merged with Group B leaving only the Group A (as the merge between old A and B)

I have configured an organizational change; For units in consolidation group B, I have registered the disverture period ( 2009/09). Also, a task for Preparation for Disvesture in path Consolidation functions > Change consolidation group, has been configured. I have fiil the document type for Reported Financial Data.

When i execute the task in the consolidation monitor I expect for a reverse of reported data, however the status in monito presents an error message for the aaounting document, because there is no balance in Reported values in balance Sheet (Movement type = 10).

My questions are:

Q1. Am I using the right approach to solve the business case?

Q2. In order to have the balance sheet "balanced" ( post the Retained Earnings with no document posting) do i have to use the functionality One Side Reclassification?
