I've searched the forums for the error code 4240 and can find nothing so if someone can assist, I would very much appreciate it since I have a deadline.
I'm a registered users of Crystal Reports 2008 with SP2 and run WinXP Pro SP 3.
I'm developing from VS 2005 but I use the CR2008 GUI for report development against SQL Server 2000.
Any report I attempt to preview and/or print from within the CR2008 GUI crashes with Error:
An unhandled win32 exception occurred in crw32.exe
As mentioned previously, I searched for error 4240 in the CR forums but found no reference to it nor a list of standard CR error codes. I have already uninstalled/reinstalled CR and tried to print/preview at each install point between service packs with but to no avail. and have tried allowing CR access in the Win XP DEP.
Preview works sometimes when I use F5 (refresh) but not from the toolbar. Print from toolbar has never worked.
Print/Preview does work from within Visual Studio during runtime but not during design time.
EDIT: It appears that the numeric code on the end changes every time the program crashes which indicates that it's a process ID or such but the question still stands. Why can't I print from within CR2008?
