[SSM 7.5] How to show Gap between Target and Actual

Former Member

Hello,

I need to show the Gap between a Target and an Actual for a KPI.

When i say Gap i mean = ((Actual-Target)/100)xTarget . Not "Gap performance automatically" generated by SSM.

I know i can use the Score Gap but it doesn't suit my need because i want to use for example the score achievment and the gap.

A custom Gap column would be the best. But if the Gap can appear anywhere else on the KPI scorecard screen it would be fine.

Have you got any idea ?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hello Haroun,

What you describe is what Strategy Managment already calls a the score value, which in an achievement scenario is described as "Actual % Target" (Actual as a percentage of Target - the "%" function is built into PAS, and that is why you may see the calculation of a score value being KPI001_ACT % KPI001_TAR. Note that if you look at the PAS measure, then the Score will be called KPI001_TARDEV, which may not immediately suggest it is giving you the score that you're looking for.

If you wanted to use something other than this, then what you'd likely need to do is define an additional measure for the KPI and populate it with the formula you want. The only way to then display this, without some sort of customization, would be on the reports tab.

Hope this helps,

Robert
