You need to activate batch derivation (Tcode DVSP) & maintain batch derivation events (Tcode DVC8). Also you have to maintain number ranges for the batch derivation.
Apart from this, you need to maintain Batch Derivation Rules (Sendor and Receiver Records) to maintain what you have to inherit.
