User created on the device

Hi!!

HI I am developing an application with Webdynpro Java Mobile 7.1 with OCA sp08 patch01.

I have a user created on a device, my problems is:

A user forgets the password, is there any way to know the password of a user created on the device?

Before with the Mobile 2.5, it created a file in the folder 'Setting' to each user created and opening could see the user name and password but now the password is encrypted.

Any idea?

HI Maria,

There is no way for a user to know the password in the client. One suggestion could be to use autologon functionality so that the user need not enter password everytime and thus even if forgets can use the client.

Hi

there is an option to allow reset of local logon password using property "MobileEngine.UserManagement.resetlocallogonpasswordsupport".

This will allow password reset provided user gives the correct synchronization password.

however i'm not sure whether that is applicable for your scenario .

I put the parameter and does not work.

Do not reset the password.

Any other ideas?

Hi Maria,

Unfortunatelly, there is no way you can recover or reset the password with OCA client.

Please contact SAP if you are facing this issue.
