no update for SAP note number 1000846

Hi All SBO customers/end users,

It is been a long time since SQL server 2008 release but until present no update for SAP note number 1000846. I said so because there is no statement or words SQL 2008 there. Look at the note asap

In the notes, there is no words as following:

  • If running the script on MSSQL 2008:

please run 'Upgrade_To_2007A_Check_v2_SQL2008.TXT'.

Meanwhile, we want to use that new version of SQL when we upgrade our current B1 2005A version but we can't go on because how to make sure that there is no error while upgrading (on-upgrading) if no query checks usable in SQL 2008 ?

It is okay. Now all of us SBO end users and customers must make a worldwide organization where we can give assessment to our partner or primary what SAP AG have done and will do in the future to support us. Let we can examine their support, their SAP note, and their maintenance. We must also give value or alert. It is really fair. For example if the note is late to update, the value is red. It means silly maintenance.

Why I said so ? It is because they also did that to our partner because of the silly questions that sometimes we asked to SAP support through our partner because we need the supported statement from our SAP and partner.

Make the group and let's join together now.

      Hello Rajh,

Till today you have still not provided any open issues or open support tickets for us to review. Your comments above are valid and for this I appreciate that our community will inform support about the issues they face. We make every effort to assist and to this effect the relevant note has been updated accordingly.

As you may know, SAP support operate on a two tier model, meaning we support our partners while they inturn support you the end customer. I searched internally and could not find a message open from your partner about this issue which is the normal route to address such issues.

I would ask again that you contact me directly so we can address your issues 1 to 1, however you are free to post your topics for general discussion on this forum.

As for all other customers I heartly welcome for you to post your questions here, if the community will help themselves then it will reduce the consulting bill you recieve from your partners, that it the whole idea for these forums.

In relation to your comments about maintenance, it is the customer choice to pay maintenance but as I previously communicated to you, maintenance is an important part of ERP software. It is this fee that ensures that your software investment is running well, you are permitted to upgrade to new versions with additional functionality and enhancements. It also ensure that you are compliant with all local legal practices. It is to this end that the majority of our customers pay maintenance and are satisfied with the service they recieve in return.

Again, I do not see any open messages from you except on this forum requesting everyone to stop paying maintenance. Your LPE, Channel Manager, Regional Solution Manager and myself are happy to open direct dialog with you whenever you choose.

      Regards,

      Paul Finneran
