Settlement rule in production order

Hi Gurus,

I try to change settlement rule in production order.

I'm able to add a Cat ORD with a settlement receiver internal order/cost center, but I don't want to have a first line with cat "MAT".

For the moment, the distribution rule with Cat "MAT" is automatically filled and I'm obliged to put a percentage at 0 to inactivate this rule.

I changed allocation structure in deleting in settlement cost element all receiver categories "PSG". I also changed settlement profile to define Material as "settlement not allowed".

And now I have an error message "Receiver category MAT is not allowed by settlement profile for this sender", but I cannot delete this line.

PS: I use an order type defined with another settlement profile and other allocation structure. I have to create the order and after I change the settlement rule in the order.

Is it possible either to not have line with Cat MAT or to not have line with Cat MAT and to have directly the good line with cat ORD?

Thanks by advance

    Thanks Sanjib,

I've already done this verification for the automatic assignment to MAT.

In this case, how can I directly assign a percentage at 0 on the line MAT ?

To answer to your question, this settlement concerns a really small and specific part of production order (dedicated to a specific process).

    Thanks for your answer

    Hi,

Normally all Production Orders are to be settled to MAT. Why would you like the order to settle to something else, like another Order or a Cost Center. For Production Orders, the costs and variances will be captured against the material and through the variance calculation and settlement process would get posted to CO-PA and WIP or otherwise.

You may not be able to delete the settlement rule with category MAT. So, try building your solution keeping this standard SAP design in mind.

    Thanks,

    Sanjib

    Hi Sophie,

Normally if you create production order with material. then settlement rule MAT is automatic. It cannot be changed.

In this situation you will have to maintian the settlement rule as you described. there is no other way round.

But if your business requirement is OK to create the production order without material then whatever you are asking is very much possible.

It would be nice to know your business scenario before i could talk about the solution part.

    Best Regards

    Surya

      Hi,

Is it possible to add CAT: MAT for New Settlement Rule since there are few orders with Blank CAT.Settlement Receiver should be material. Can we get reason why it had no Settlement Rule?

      Any suggestion

      Regards

      Nitin
