Problem in OKB9

Hi!

When I'm trying to post a inventory difference in t-code MI07 (movement 701), I receive the following message:

Account 7xxxxx requires an assignment to a CO object

In OKB9, if I fill the Cost Center field for that g/l account, the error ceases to exist. The problem is that I don't what to have a general cost center, but one for each business area/valuation area. I choose the "Acct assignment detail" as "1 - Valuation area is mandatory" and map the Valuation Area-Business Area-Cost Center fields.

Then I post the inventory difference. In the respective accounting document, in the 7xxxxx g/l account line I can see that the cost center called is the general one and not the Valuation Area-Business Area-Cost Center fields.

What should I do in OKB9 to call the right cost center (the Valuation Area-Business Area-Cost Center one)?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Pedro Mariano

Go to transaction KA02: enter that account (Cost element)and in default acct assinmt tab

assign the Cost Centre. and check again by posting Inv difference.

Note 367813 - KI235 for goods movements: What should be done?

Check automatic account assignment per business area:

    - the business area field must be ready for input (field selection)

    - the material must have a division (MARA-SPAR)

    - the combination valuation area/division must be maintained (T134H)
