APO -DP and BW linking

Hi

1) Is it mandatory to do some setting in BW for data upload by APO consultant.

2) If a orgnaisation is using manual forcasting by taking inputs frm sale team , sales data than how to convenced client that he will get benifited from APO DP.

Hi Sudhir,

Just a small correction from your observation.

Both BW & APO are components of SCM. To

operate APO in terms of demand planning, BW

objects needs to be created which is the primary

role of BI/BW consultant.

Hope it is clear now.

1) So its confirm that only APO related inforsource , inforobject etc needs to be created in APO by an APO consultant.

Hi Sudhir,

1) For data upload in BW, one need to maintain all infoobjects, infosources and BW related

objects in APO.

2) APO DP is not only used for forecasting purpose and it has got many other applications

like Macro, interactive forecasting, various forecasting methods which can be applied

for the future, process chains, etc.,
