Hello,
Our users are confused due to the fact that at times the list of opportunities listed for an account in an Account's Interaction History doesn't match an Opportunity Query for the same Account.
I am trying to determine what filters are applied by CRM when looking at Interaction History for and Account. I have heard that Closed Opportunities are excluded, don't know if this is true for sure. Anyone have an idea on these filters?
Thanks,
Dane
Hi Dane!
Usually there is some filtering activated for the Assignment-Blocks Opportunities or Interaction History.
You should check this in IMG -> Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data ->Business Partner -> Accounts and Contacts -> Specify Display Options for Business Transactions.
Here you can define the time-frame but also the Status for the Objects which should displayed within the Assignment-Block.
I would assume that this is the reason why the content of the Assignment-Block within the Account looks different to what you will get in the Search-Result if you search for Opportunities of this Account.
In CRM 7.0 EHP1 there will be a new option to filter the content of assignment-blocks. This will be much more flexible in comparison to the IMG-Customizing u201CSpecify Display Options for Business Transactionsu201D.
Best regards
Arno

Hello Dane
We ran into this too. What I found was that these assignment blocks are restricted to returning 100 records only, so if you have more than 100 opps for the account, you will see inconsistencies between opportunity search queries and the interaction history. Weirdly, it returns the first 100 records and not the latest 100. Not sure if this has been changed in 7.0 or via a note. We are on 6.0 SP02.
Also, all statuses are returned as standard. Closed opps are not filtered out, at least not in our implementation.
Hope this helps!
Lisa
