Can you advise if there is SAP standard guidance for Swap and SQL Server memory recommendations on SQL Server 2012 or the general SQL Server 2012 recommendations apply. Can you advise if there is any best practices guidance for SAP BI 4.2 SP3 specifically for SQL Server 2012. Thank you

Are you planning to use SQL server as CMS DB or is it reporting data source ?
If for CMS DB - your DBA needs to tune it for huge amount of small queries with occasional large one and if for reporting data source - DBA should tune it for reading large amount of data and parallel querring.
