hi everybody

my program reads a file from the application server and creates some FI documents.

when the program is run in foreground, it works

when its run in the background mode, it displays the error 'open_dataset_no_authority'

does anybody know why?

Hi,

What is the subrc value is coming after open dataset...if u don't have authorization it will return as 12.. Try using CG3Y or CG3Z to upload and down load files to the application server....and see if u r able to do.
