Hi ,

It clearly says that s/w not found.please check if your CD's are there in place & you are giving correct path as well.It may happen that it got corrupt at time of extracting. So you may extract it again to avoid this issue.

try this option & let is know if this workl for you.

Thanks..

Dear Mohit / markeus

Thanks a lot for your help , you are right that it is aproblem of extraction , I have done that, thanks for your help, the installation of DI progress.

while extracting the database server to /oracle/stage/10_32/./RUNINSTALLER , it is saying OUI doesnot support redhat5 ,

for that RED HAT4,3

secondly RED HAT 5 doenot support 10 ., so I am downloading the 11g Database , ans then start the installation,

will it be the right process

Please guide me in that

Thanks & Regds

Hi Manish ,

You can get your all queries resolved in Product Availability Matrix at ::

http://service.sap.com/pam

Here you can check for all your DB and OS dependencies. Please be informed that in case of LINUX environment you first start your sainst & in between it will prompt you to create your database .

Thanks..

Not true, it is supported but Oracle 11 is not supported.

read

Note 980426 - Oracle 10.2 Software installation on new operating systems

You have to change orapram.ini

And also follow the suggestions in

Note 1048303 - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x: Installation and upgrade

which also gives you the information about oraparam.ini.

As mentioned in error it seems that some xorg-x11-deprecated-libs package installed on your OS are missing .In amny cases this solved the issue.Check if this work for you as well.

Please check following SAP notes for further info 1203597 , 833766.
